Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and communicate findings and treatment plans to pet owners.
- Performing surgeries, managing diagnostics, and maintaining surgical standards.
- Documenting patient care in SOAP format and ensuring complete medical records.
- Managing pharmacy duties, including prescribing medications and overseeing controlled substances.
- Promoting teamwork, supporting staff, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Estimating client invoices and communicating costs effectively.
- Sharing knowledge through mentoring and continuing education.
Qualifications include:
DVM or VMD degree, a current State Veterinary License, DEA registration, and five years of veterinary practice experience. The role emphasizes clinical knowledge, staff leadership, and effective communication. Additional functions involve collaborating with management to improve practices and monitoring operational standards.
