Primarily responsible for maintaining and growing a new territory while cultivating a handful of established customer relationships in an assigned territory. Communicates with customers, internal teams, and management to ensure satisfaction and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Handle customer inquiries, order processing, pricing, delivery, and issue resolution. Maintain accurate customer records, including pricing and account updates. Conduct regular visits to accounts to grow relationships, introduce products, and share industry trends. Dedicate a majority of the week to field visits, with office time for scheduling and coordination. Drive territory growth by adding new accounts and expanding product penetration. Address customer concerns regarding pricing, delivery, and accounting. Attend industry events, trade shows, and training sessions as required. Provide regular updates and reports to management and internal teams on activities and achievements. Foster a professional and collaborative working relationship with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
-Minimum 5 years of sales or account management experience. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills. -Strong written and verbal communication skills;ability to create reports and present to clients and teams. -Self-motivated to stay informed about industry trends. -Organization, self-sufficient, proactive.
Requirements: Top Technical Skills of Importance: 1. Ability to travel 90% (4 days a week) and 70% will be overnights. 2. Working with a large number of products;Wide range of product knowledge (500 SKUs+. Okay if limited now, though extensive in the past). 3. Broker/Distributor Relationships. 4. Experience with independently owned distributors (mom and pops and deli's NOT retail or restaurants). 5. Software, knowledge of Tableau and SalesForce is ideal but not a deal breaker. They all had to learn –someone with some sort of CRM and product software management database. 6. Territory Managerial Skills
