Position Title: Technical Documentation SpecialistDepartment: Engineering Services ReportsTo: Document Control Supervisor
Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Documentation Specialist to support engineering and manufacturing teams through the creation, management, and maintenance of product documentation and technical manuals. This role plays a critical part in document control processes, including Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and master data in our ERP system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing or engineering environments and a passion for clear, structured documentation that supports operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, edit, and maintain technical manuals and product documentation.

Manage and update engineering documentation in compliance with company standards.

Support and control Engineering Change Notice (ECN) workflows.

Maintain and manipulate product master data and BOMs within the ERP system (SyteLine preferred).

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.

Participate in special documentation projects and initiatives as assigned.

Ensure all technical content complies with internal guidelines and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of BOM structures and general engineering documentation standards.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat/Illustrator.

Familiarity with ERP systems;SyteLine experience strongly preferred.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and parts lists.

Capable of multitasking and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Education & Work Authorization:

Associate degree or equivalent professional experience required.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident.
