Company Overview: We are a reputable public accounting firm seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. Our firm is dedicated to providing high-quality tax preparation services to a diverse clientele. We are looking for a professional who is comfortable handling individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns. This client-facing role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Job Summary: The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing various types of tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with tax ERP software such as Lacerte or similar systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates.
Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax returns.
Utilize tax ERP software (e.G., Lacerte) to manage and process tax returns.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Active or pending CPA license is a plus.
Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus.
Minimum of 3+ years of public accounting experience, specifically in tax preparation.
Proficiency in tax ERP software (e.G., Lacerte) or similar systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
