Job Description:
The successful candidate will be motivated, self-driven, open to learning, and a team player. Must be willing to work ON-SITE 100%. Will be a vital and key member of the Accounting team's goals, objectives and success. Will be a key player in completing month-end close and providing Accounting department leadership with useful information for decision-making purposes.
Job Duties:
- Participate in all aspects of the monthly financial close process Prepare/review journal entries and ensure entries include valid supporting documents
- Ensure general ledger account roll forwards, reconciliations, and analyses are completed in accordance with company policies and timely
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
- Assist in the research of financial statement variances
- Execute on improvements to the month-end close process
- Execute internal control policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of reliable financial statements
Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (no exceptions)
- Must have professional reference and pass a 7 year background check
- Minimum 3-5 years work experience in a professional firm
- Good computer skills (MS Excel) and able to pass online assessment
- Must have analytical skills, detailed oriented, organized, and focused on meeting goals timely
- Be a team player to meet client's needs and expectations.
- Be able to deliver high-quality work that is timely, accurate, and professional
- CPA or Master's Degree in accounting a Plus (not a must)
- Experience in a Big 4 or 8 firm a Plus
- Being familiar with statutory filings and/or accounting practices is a plus but not required
