We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sr./Staff Accountant to join our finance team in Fort Lauderdale. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and be adept at managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. - Perform month-end and year-end closing processes. - Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate any discrepancies. - Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. - Maintain and update fixed asset schedules. - Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations. - Collaborate with auditors for annual audits and provide necessary documentation. - Support other accounting projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience. - Proficiency in accounting software (e.G., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle). - Strong understanding of GAAP. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. - CPA certification preferred but not required.
