Job Title: Project Support Specialist

Contract Length: 6 months (1099 or W-2 option)
Location: Houston, TX

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Support Specialist to assist the Facilities Engineering team with administrative and technical activities. This position will support project planning, execution, tracking, and reporting for various company initiatives. The role involves coordinating with managers, engineers, and construction personnel to ensure the successful completion of projects.

This is a 6-month contract with the option to work as a 1099 contractor or W-2 employee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and track AFEs (Authorization for Expenditure) and supplemental documentation.
  • Evaluate cost reports to establish unit pricing for future estimates and budgets.
  • Coordinate accrual updates with input from engineers, construction, and cost control personnel.
  • Assist with schedule updates using data from engineers and construction teams.
  • Support preparation and revisions of Design Basis Memoranda (DBM) and Project Execution Plans (PEP).
  • Collaborate with engineers and supply chain personnel to track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage and organize critical project documents for accessibility to team members.
  • Review construction daily reports to track progress, manhours, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain construction and project workload schedules.
  • Review and route invoices, updating AFE/GL coding as needed.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 8 years in industry-related technical support roles.
    • Proficiency with tools such as MS Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, Ariba, SAP, Spotfire, and DataNow.
  • Skills:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational and document management abilities.
