Overview
We are seeking a Sous Chef to join a well-established team in the Boston market. This is an opportunity to step into a structured, disciplined kitchen with strong systems, consistent volume, and a long-standing reputation for quality.
This role is ideal for a strong line cook ready to take the next step, or an early-stage sous chef looking to develop within a stable, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Execution
Maintain high standards for plating, temperature, and timing during service
Work across stations as needed, with strong exposure to sauté, grill, and garde manger
Leadership & Support
Act as a floor leader during service, supporting the Chef and guiding line cooks
Assist in training and onboarding new team members
Help maintain accountability for standards, cleanliness, and organization
Prep & Production
Oversee prep execution and ensure readiness for service
Support ordering, inventory, and product handling
Maintain proper storage, labeling, and rotation
Standards & Systems
Uphold kitchen systems and recipes with consistency
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
Support a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
What They’re Looking For
2–5+ years in a high-volume, full-service kitchen
Experience with classic cooking techniques (French experience is a plus, not required)
Strong station management and ability to perform under pressure
Desire to grow into a leadership role
Solid work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Ideal Candidate

Compensation
$75, 000 - $85, 000 base salary (location dependent)
