An established, growing multi-unit restaurant group is seeking an experienced Sous Chef for one of its premier restaurants in Boston's vibrant Seaport District.
This is a dinner-only concept, offering an excellent quality of life while providing the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, chef-driven environment. We're looking for a hands-on culinary leader who thrives during busy dinner service, excels on the expo line, and is passionate about developing high-performing kitchen teams.
What You'll Do
Partner with the Executive Chef to oversee all evening kitchen operations.
Lead and motivate the culinary team while maintaining exceptional food quality and consistency.
Manage the expo station during service, ensuring accurate plating, timing, and seamless communication between the kitchen and front-of-house.
Train, mentor, and develop line cooks while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture.
Assist with scheduling, inventory, ordering, and food cost management.
Maintain the highest standards of sanitation, food safety, and kitchen organization.
Ensure every guest receives an exceptional dining experience through flawless execution.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
Strong expo experience with the ability to lead service under pressure.
Proven leadership and team development skills.
Experience with inventory management, ordering, labor scheduling, and food cost controls.
Passion for scratch cooking, quality, and hospitality.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
