Job Title: Service Manager - Fort Worth, TX
About the Role
The Service Manager - Fort Worth- will oversee the financial performance and operational goals of the Service Department, ensuring the achievement of desired metrics and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing daily service operations, budgeting, and building strong relationships with senior management, office staff, Field Service Advisors, technicians, and customers. As a key player in customer relations, the Service Manager will provide effective problem-solving and maintain lasting partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders. This position requires professionalism, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Operations Management: Oversee daily service operations, ensuring efficient scheduling and supervision of staff and resources.
  • Financial Performance: Develop and monitor budgets to drive financial growth and profitability for the Service Department.
  • Repair Authorization: Approve customer repairs, including full maintenance agreements.
  • Workforce Management: Maintain appropriate staffing levels and monitor work-in-process to optimize departmental operations and profitability.
  • Customer Relations: Address customer issues, provide solutions, and ensure high-quality service to maximize satisfaction.
  • Policy & Goal Monitoring: Continuously evaluate department goals, objectives, and policies to ensure alignment with organizational standards and customer expectations.
  • Internal Collaboration: Foster excellent working relationships with internal staff, including A/R, CSS, sales teams, and department managers, to streamline operations and resolve billing issues.
  • Technician Support: Ride with technicians to identify areas for improvement, establish mentors for new hires, and provide ongoing guidance.
  • Fleet Management: Monitor vehicle expenses and recommend replacements as necessary.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
  • 5+ years of management experience in the MHE (Material Handling Equipment) industry preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a technician in forklifts, heavy equipment, automotive, or agricultural equipment.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information to executives, employees, clients, and customers effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and resolve conflicts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
