Overview The Senior Trade Compliance Specialist plays a key role in ensuring full adherence to international trade laws and regulations. This position oversees import/export compliance, conducts internal audits, manages licensing and classification activities, and provides strategic guidance to support efficient and compliant global operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and improve trade compliance policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including EAR, ITAR, and customs requirements
Conduct audits to identify risks and recommend corrective actions
Coordinate with government agencies and external auditors as needed
Provide training and support to internal teams on compliance requirements
Manage product classification, valuation, documentation, and licensing
Monitor regulatory changes and update internal processes accordingly
Support strategic initiatives to enhance compliance efficiency and reduce risk
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Law, or related field
5+ years of trade compliance experience
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations (EAR, ITAR, customs)
Experience with trade compliance systems and tools
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
