Job Description

As an accounting professional at this CPA firm, you will prepare income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, not-for-profit organizations and retirement plans. Assists associate and staff accountants with general tax return problems. You will work closely with all partners and staff. You have direct contact with clients in a variety of industries. You will prepare payroll tax and sales tax returns. You will also prepare and analyze tax planning projections. You quantify and document federal and state income tax liabilities for tax returns, extensions and estimated payments. You perform research on technical tax issues. You respond to client inquiries and taxing authority notices. You keep up to date on current accounting practices and changes in tax laws. All your work will be accomplished while ensuring the confidentiality of our firm and clients.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Valid license as a Florida Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or EA or in the process of completing requirements for licensure preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in public accounting with the demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including expertise in US GAAP Proficiency with computer tax preparation, research, and planning software programs
