Position Summary:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager and interfacing frequently with the operations and quality teams, the Senior Process Engineer will lead the development of new products, enhancement of existing products and processes, and troubleshooting of processing problems. The Senior Process Engineered is expected to have a holistic approach to the product realization process and will be responsible for all internal and external operations required to manufacture the product. This is a hands-on position and will require direct involvement in these processes as well as interfacing with suppliers and customers
Essential Qualifications:
Rubber Experience: Proficiency in working with rubber materials is imperative.
Machine Experience: Expertise in Injection and Compression Molding Machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting is required.
Note: Familiarity with Blow Molding and Plastic Injection Molding is distinct from our processes.
Process Knowledge: Understanding of the rubber molding process and its nuances is crucial.
Material Expertise: Experience in processing various rubber materials including Natural, SBR,
Nitrile, Chloroprene, Fluorocarbon, Silicone, Fluorsilicone, HNBR, AEM, and ACM.
Process Mastery:
Compression (Essential)
Transfer Molding (Essential)
Injection Molding (Trainable)
Senior Level Experience: A minimum of 5 years of directly relevant work experience is required.
Independence: The ability to work autonomously and self-reliance are fundamental attributes.
Educational Qualification: While a college degree is preferred, relevant work experience can be considered in its absence.
Fast-Paced Environment: Adaptability to a dynamic work environment with frequent job and mold changes is essential.
Weekly Schedule:
Troubleshooting: 50% (Essential)
Process Control/Development/New Product Introduction: 50% (Essential)
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
