Senior Manufacturing Facilities Technician

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
  • Involved in the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and facilities.
  • Performs routine maintenance on machinery or building structures including plumbing
  • May work on electrical wiring
  • Maintain building HVAC equipment
  • Maintain outside structures such as sidewalks, windows, etc.
  • Repair potential safety hazards
  • Executes modifications on equipment.
  • Ensures that all safety precautions are followed with contractors.
  • Assists with property inspections
  • Participates in the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion. Inspects construction and installation progress.
  • Responsible for preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC and laboratory Dehumidification and air purification equipment.
  • Performs in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions.
  • Provides advisory support and assistance to the department manager as needed.
  • Responsible for meeting team targets and key performance indicators
  • Participate in activities needed to support the management functions of the team.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner
  • Physical presence on the job is essential including weekends and holidays if necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Management Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling/prioritizing planned and unplanned facilities maintenance
  • Managing company physical/personnel resources to maintain facilities and equipment
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Associate degree or other certification in Construction, Facilities Management, or Project Management desired
  • Experience with a wide range of equipment and tools and proficiency in skilled maintenance and repair tasks.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be comfortable supporting US Military-funded work
  • Knowledge of established construction and maintenance practices, procedures and techniques, site planning, and applicable local, state, and federal building codes.
  • Able to work in a collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills;thorough and attentive to details;able to prioritize and multitask;proactive and deadline-oriented.
  • Able to work effectively with subcontractors and local authorities when needed.

ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) the employee must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
