Senior Billing Specialist Atlanta, GA | Hybrid | Direct Hire
A well‑respected, nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to join its Atlanta office. This is a key role within a high‑performing accounting department, supporting attorneys and legal teams through accurate, timely, and client‑focused billing operations. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of legal billing experience, deep expertise in ebilling and LEDES, and the professionalism to operate in a client‑first, fast‑paced environment.

What You’ll Do
Generate and process prebills in alignment with firm procedures and deadlines
Interpret attorney billing instructions and seek clarification when needed
Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines, fee agreements, and firm policies
Submit accurate, timely invoices and manage all ebilling requirements
Maintain billing instructions and matter‑level details within the billing system
Troubleshoot and resolve billing discrepancies using available resources
Partner closely with attorneys, legal assistants, and internal teams
Respond to inquiries regarding billing history, time/cost details, and financial information
Maintain strict confidentiality of firm and client information
Participate in ongoing training to strengthen billing expertise
Mentor junior billing staff as directed by leadership
Support process improvements and special initiatives within revenue operations
Handle complex billing scenarios, including split billing and multi‑payor arrangements
What You Bring
5+ years of legal billing experience, including ebilling
Advanced knowledge of LEDES formats and ebilling vendor requirements
Experience with complex billing structures (split billing, multi‑payor, appeals)
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
High attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
Ability to prioritize in a deadline‑driven environment
Proven aptitude for learning new systems and web‑based applications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Experience with SurePoint or Aderant strongly preferred
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment (Zoom proficiency required)
Compensation & Schedule
Salary: $70, 000–$82, 000 + bonus
Schedule: Hybrid (Atlanta office)
