Job Title: Senior Foreclosure Associate Location: Honolulu, HI Job Type: Permanent
Purpose
A well-established law firm is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to practice out of its Honolulu office. This position is eligible for remote or hybrid status, but working in the office may be required for the first 90 days of employment. The Senior Associate Attorney will manage cases with an emphasis on residential real estate litigation, mortgage, and transactional matters, protecting the client's interests in litigation proceedings and general collection cases. The primary focus will be judicial foreclosure actions.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Manage complex cases from inception to completion.
Prepare analysis of cases and advise clients regarding strategies.
Draft court pleadings, defend motions, and handle heavily contested matters.
Attend court hearings, contested motions, and conduct trials, both telephonic and in person.
Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree.
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
At least five years of experience in the practice of real estate or mortgage law.
Admission to practice law in the state of Hawaii.
Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must have the ability to interpret client systems.
Must be proficient in software tools, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
Ability to manage and prioritize large and complex caseloads.
