Senior FP&A Analyst Detroit, MI | Hybrid | Direct Hire
RIM Recruitment is partnering with a respected professional services firm on a confidential search for a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst. This role is ideal for a seasoned FP&A professional who thrives in a data‑driven environment, enjoys complex reporting, and is comfortable serving as a strategic resource across multiple departments.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll play a key role in shaping financial insights and supporting firmwide decision‑making. Responsibilities include:
Building and refining financial reports, models, and dashboards using advanced Excel and business intelligence tools
Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, including management reporting and financial performance analysis
Partnering with leadership to deliver ad‑hoc analyses, compensation modeling, and special projects
Serving as a resource to junior analysts and contributing to team priorities
Managing projects from concept through completion, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
Developing deep expertise in the firm’s financial systems and data structure
Extracting, transforming, and analyzing data using SQL, Power Query, Tableau, or similar tools
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to complete external surveys and reporting requests
Handling additional finance‑related tasks as needed in a fast‑paced environment
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical strength, analytical curiosity, and polished communication skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
7+ years of progressive FP&A or financial analysis experience
Strong command of financial systems, reporting tools, and data extraction
Experience writing or working with SQL queries and BI tools
Background in professional services or partnership‑based environments is a plus
Ability to translate complex data into clear, concise insights for non‑financial stakeholders
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;comfortable presenting to leadership
CPA is beneficial but not required
Flexibility to work extended hours during peak reporting periods
