Our client is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer for a hybrid role in the Houston, TX area. This role will work a hybrid schedule with in-office, home and job-site locations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in industry-consensus codes and standards from NFPA, IEEE, and U. Have experience with troubleshooting low voltage and medium voltage switchgear, transformers, voltage regulators, motor controllers, and PLCs. They will help with the sales process and have experience with power factor correction Step up and step down transformer applications. They will also have experience with protective relaying/coordination, circuit analysis, and IEC transformer vector groups.

We are hiring immediately for a Senior Electrical Engineer in Houston or New Iberia Area- a role that is critical in making sure our customers get the electricity, heating and cooling they need. What you’ ll do:
Design and implement safe, reliable, and efficient electrical power generation and distribution systems.
Help the sales team secure contracts by visiting client sites and crafting creative economical solutions.
Assist with the procurement of new electrical, refrigeration, and compressed air rental assets.
Test, install, commission, program, and troubleshoot low-voltage and medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, voltage regulators, motor controllers, and PLCs.
Analyze test data and reports to determine if the design meets functional and performance specifications.
Perform light drafting duties using AutoCAD to create and modify single-line diagrams, location plans, grounding plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Carry out peer-review of engineering deliverables.
Inspect equipment and systems for electrical code and safety deficiencies.
Travel approximately 25%
We’ re experts, which means you’ ll have the following skills and experience:
Bachelor’ s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering
5+ years of relevant hands-on work experience
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities
General understanding of engineering economics, estimating, budgeting, and basic financial principles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to persuade through the use of logical arguments and objective data
Working knowledge of relevant industry-consensus codes and standards from NFPA, IEEE, and U
