We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer, who will be responsible for tasks ranging in designing, planning, and overseeing the development of components, systems, and machinery utilized in BOP (Blowout Preventer) control systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Research, develop, and design electronic interface circuitry applications for product control.
Lead the design team in developing electrical, schematic, interconnect, cabling, and assembly drawings.
Ensure a clear definition of equipment scope and content during the initial design phase.
Develop control applications for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.
Oversee manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing to meet functional specifications and customer requirements.
Coordinate design projects to optimize engineering expertise utilization.
Provide project leadership, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and performance criteria.
Establish design criteria based on required codes and standards.
Review contractual content for technical and regulatory compliance.
Document and transmit design changes to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
Collaborate with the sales team to define engineering parameters for quotations.
Liaise with internal and external customers to understand project requirements.
Engineer components/assemblies for BOP control systems according to customer contracts and applicable codes and standards.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during testing.
Review and approve engineering documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing control systems.
Preferred knowledge of hazardous area standards such as ATEX, IECEx, and NEC.
Familiarity with ABS, DNVGL, and API standards related to BOP control systems is advantageous.
CompEx training or equivalent certification is a plus.
