Senior Consultant - Civil or Environmental Engineer (Hybrid)

Senior Consultant, you will be working closely with Project Managers and other Consultants on ecology projects as well as the opportunity to be involved in a variety of environmental investigation/remediation, environmental compliance, health and safety, sustainability, and due diligence projects within our broad Environment and Health practice. At least a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Environmental Scientist and 4-8 years of experience in the planning and design of Stormwater Management projects, including project analysis and evaluation studies.
Professional Engineer or other professional certification preferred but not required.
The physical requirements of this position may include the need for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs. In certain situations, this position may expose the candidate to extremes in weather (hot/cold);high noise levels, hazards such as proximity to moving machine parts and moving vehicles, electrical current, and exposure to chemicals. Employees may be required to take specific training and to wear PPE on some occasions.
Strong written and oral communication, quantitative and interpersonal skills
Strong work ethic and professional attitude
Proactive on assignments and demonstrate initiative
Valid driver’s license required
Knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics preferred
Experience in any of the following: stormwater management, stormwater pollution prevention plan development, any phase of civil design, project planning, calculations, report writing,
Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
OSHA 40 certification is a plus
Ability to work well in a team environment with a willingness to follow detailed instructions and learn new skills
Tasks and Responsibilities
Assisting in the design and permitting efforts for a variety of industrial stormwater and water resources
Monitoring the construction phase of projects
Participating in proposal development efforts
Supporting stormwater management programs
Conducting sampling and inspection events (stormwater, wastewater) in various site settings
Performing engineering calculations
Assisting senior staff with the preparation of technical reports, including compiling analytical data
Conducting travel/field work (daytime and overnight, usually in the U.S.)
Working with a team of water resources engineers and environmental scientists
