Job Description


Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant in a hybrid role in their Raleigh, NC office.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead efforts in internal control measurement, monitoring, and compliance, with a strong focus on Sarbanes-Oxley adherence
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis;resolve any variances
  • Handle key Finance tasks such as uploading ADIs, running Mass Allocations, Consolidations, and developing FSG and Orbit reports
  • Provide support for internal and external audits
  • Assist with Statutory Reporting, preparing monthly packages, schedules, and filing regulatory reporting forms
  • Provide backup support for critical Accounts Payable functions
  • Manage ACH and wire requests
  • Support special projects, accounting, and reporting related to ceded and assumed reinsurance transactions
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA Certification
  • At least 4 years of general accounting experience
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or other similar general ledger software
  • Hands-on experience with audits of internal controlsPreferred Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite
  • Big 4 accounting or auditing experience
  • Experience with Workiva
