We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our client. This individual will assist the Finance Director in preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate records, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates superior analytical skills, and works effectively both independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities:
Manage all accounting transactions and ensure accuracy.
Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and budget variance analyses.
Assess internal controls, perform risk assessments, and review risk areas.
Publish financial statements in a timely manner and handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely bank payments.
Compute taxes, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Audit financial transactions and documents while maintaining confidentiality.
Provide reports on financial health, including liquidity analysis.
Perform database backups and reinforce data confidentiality protocols.
Support with audit processes and assist in maintaining the general ledger.
Knowledge & Skills:
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
Proven ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing business data.
Solid mathematical skills for calculating percentages, commissions, and other financial metrics.
Strong reasoning abilities to solve practical problems and interpret diverse instructions.
