ABOUT OUR CLIENT:


Our client, a high growth personal care company, is looking for Sales Director, Mass Market Channels to join their team. The Sales Director, Mass Market Channels will be responsible for managing key customer relationships, negotiating customer agreements, developing strategic account plans and maintaining and growing key accounts. This role is ideal for a results driven strategist who is proactive and a natural relationship builder. The individual must have strong knowledge of the US Mass market category (Walmart, Walgreens, Target, CVS etc)



RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Sales Director, US Mass Market Channels will perform a diverse range of functions including but limited to:
  • Define short and long-term strategic goals, build key customer relationships, and identify business opportunities
  • Work with brokers to improve distribution, pricing, shelving, and merchandising
  • Create and deliver compelling brand / category story for the customer to sell-in new opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing, creative, supply chain, finance, and other key stakeholders
  • Serve as primary team leader with the customer and sales/marketing teams, building and leveraging relationships with Cross-functional counterparts
  • Lead the team that work with Sales, Marketing, and Supply chain teams to forecast and plan existing base and new business opportunities
  • Responsible for the development and execution of presentations for major customer meetings
  • Management of short-term and long-term business results, ensuring volume, share and ROI targets are met
  • Driving distribution, shelving, pricing, and promotion support to optimize spend
  • Identification and activation of fact-based sales opportunities
  • Accurately forecast the business and proactively alert senior execs of major shifts in the business
  • Participating in Budget / P&L management


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 8+ years in CPG and preferably in Beauty/Personal Care industry related to sales, analysis, administrative and forecasting
  • College/ University degree/ diploma
  • Strong knowledge of the US Mass market category (Walmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS, etc)
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Suite (MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Nielsen and/ or other CPG Analytics
  • Demonstrable skills in analyzing/synthesizing customer POS/inventory/shipment data to inform forecasting
  • Experience using fact-based data to influence customer decisions
  • Passionate about outcome and results orientated
  • Previous experience in a high paced environment
  • Experience and financial acumen regarding P&L management
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong team and people management experience
  • Ability to network and forge alliances internally and with external stakeholder
  • Creative, entrepreneurial spirit
