Job Description: SALT Accountant Location: Jacksonville, FL
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced State and Local Tax (SALT) Accountant to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in state and local tax compliance and planning, experience with Big 4 accounting firms, and proficient use of CCH Axcess.
Responsibilities: - Prepare and review state and local tax returns and related workpapers. - Conduct tax research and planning for state and local tax issues. - Collaborate with clients and team members to provide SALT consulting and compliance services. - Utilize CCH Axcess for tax preparation and compliance. - Assist in managing and mentoring junior staff members. - Stay updated on changing state and local tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - CPA certification preferred. - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in state and local tax, including experience at a Big 4 accounting firm. - Proficiency in CCH Axcess software. - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
