Senior Advisor & Project Lead, Reinsurance (Hybrid) - Raleigh, NC
Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid: Tuesday-Thursday in office, Monday & Friday remote)
Reports To: VP, Reinsurance
Job Type: Full-Time

Your Responsibilities Lead Strategic and Tactical Projects
  • Develop and lead initiatives to support the reinsurance strategic goals, ensuring measurable and exceptional results.
  • Identify, analyze, and manage key issues, while developing solutions to optimize the execution of reinsurance strategy.
  • Create and manage the reinsurance strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Lead and coordinate strategic projects from concept to execution, driving successful delivery on time and within scope.
  • Develop financial models and analytical tools to support business analysis and decision-making.
Executive Support and Decision-Making
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance goals that align with business objectives.
  • Manage KPIs and performance metrics to track success and drive continuous improvement across functions.
  • Lead the preparation for critical meetings, including developing in-depth analysis and presentations for review by senior leadership and committees.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of projects, from initial analysis to execution and post-project assessment.
  • Implement and manage routines for technical reviews, business reviews, and risk assessments.
Engage and Partner
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration across departments.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and new tool implementations.
  • Incorporate external perspectives and integrate them into strategic decision-making.
  • Cultivate relationships with external parties, including regulators, rating agencies, and industry thought leaders.
  • Facilitate discussions that support forward-thinking decisions while maintaining a positive, engaged work culture.
Your Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required;MBA and/or CFA preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in financial services, insurance, banking, or a structured financial environment. Previous reinsurance or insurance industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven experience in analytics and financial modeling, with the ability to evaluate multi-scenario outcomes to inform strategic planning and risk management.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects, delivering results within deadlines. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare executive-level presentations and influence senior leadership.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and tactically, translating business objectives into actionable plans.
  • Leadership: Experience influencing change and driving results in dynamic, fast-paced environments, even without formal reporting authority.
  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically as needed (less than 10% of the time).
