We are seeking a Regulatory Analyst in the Midland area to support regulatory compliance for our operations. This role requires collaboration with internal teams and external representatives to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach to managing regulatory filings, compliance issues, and data tracking with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and submit regulatory filings, including but not limited to:
Drilling permits
Completions and recompletions
Flare permits
Commingling permits
Injection permits
Research, analyze, and resolve regulatory compliance issues as they arise.
Maintain and update in-house tracking systems with accurate and current regulatory data.
Request, review, and distribute as-drilled plats provided by survey companies to relevant teams and departments.
Collaborate with internal asset teams during acquisitions and divestitures to assess and address compliance concerns.
Work with service companies to obtain, review, and file W-15 forms.
Collect, organize, and complete data for well completion packets.
Assess and resolve violation notices for assigned regions, ensuring prompt compliance.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 4 years of experience interpreting and applying federal and state rules and regulations.
Minimum of 4 years of experience preparing and filing state and federal regulatory documents.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
3+ years of experience with the regulatory processes.
Prior experience with Permian Basin oilfield operations preferred.
Familiarity with oilfield terminology and procedures.
Work-Life Balance: Hybrid schedule with Fridays remote.
