We are looking to add an FSQA leader to our talented team.

Lab Team Lead - 1st Shift

Role Overview: The Lab Team Lead will ensure that all products are tested and meet quality standards, uphold quality procedures and processes, manage lab programs, and oversee lab technicians.

Reports to: FSQA Supervisor

Key Responsibilities as Lab Team Lead:
  • Set up and calibrate pH meters, salt machines, and CEMS
  • Conduct environmental swabbing on a weekly basis
  • Check finished products for color, body, and melt
  • Perform customer required testing (shred test, sauce testing)
  • Oversee the testing and job duties of the lab technicians
  • Assign lab duties to technicians
  • Work with production to make informed decisions when the QA Supervisor is not present
  • Manage the following programs: QA pathogen testing, BRC water testing
  • Manage lab supplies by monitoring and ordering stock
  • Spearhead the decision to put products on hold for quality concerns when the QA Supervisor is not present
  • Act as backup for all quality decisions when the QA Supervisor is not present
  • Manage and complete COA’ s
  • Assist in managing compliance module in RedZone
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:
  • High school degree or higher
  • At least 2 years’ experience in quality control preferred
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to make important decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask effectively and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and a team player
  • Professional demeanor when representing the company
  • Supports a safe work environment
