They are seeking a Project Engineer III to support the Program Management Office (PMO) on active design and construction projects across multiple college campuses. This role focuses on change order and field order review, documentation control, coordination with project teams, and supporting consistent, timely processing of construction contract modifications. The position plays a key role in maintaining workflow discipline and documentation accuracy within a regulated public-sector environment. This is a full-time, 100% on-site role in Los Angeles.Key Responsibilities
Provide technical and administrative support to the PMO Construction Department
Perform detailed internal reviews of Change Orders (CO) and Field Orders (FO)
Coordinate with PMO staff and College Project Teams (CPT) on change order processing
Review CO and FO documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
Track, log, and monitor changes and revisions to ensure timely processing
Maintain change order logs and tracking documentation
Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
Assist with preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports
Collect, track, and submit lessons learned for closeout and management review
Facilitate coordination meetings and assist with issue resolution
Generate and distribute meeting minutes
Maintain organized electronic files and records
Perform other related project and administrative duties as assigned
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS(Applicants must meet ALL of the following)Experience:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a project engineering or similar construction role
Experience supporting design and construction projects in an institutional or public-sector environment
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Four additional years of qualifying experience may substitute for the degree)
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
Experience using Bluebeam and Adobe tools for document review and markups
Availability:
Ability to work 100% on-site in Los Angeles
Preferred Qualifications (Not mandatory)
Experience supporting change order processing and contract documentation
Experience on educational or institutional projects
Experience supporting a large capital program
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with Prolog, e-Builder (Trimble Unity Construct), Proliance, or other PMIS systems
Experience with Adobe Acrobat Sign
Required Skills
