Job Description
We are seeking a Project Civil Engineer / Project Manager for our client in Albuquerque, NM. The company has been recognized as one of the fastest growing firms in the architecture, engineering, and environmental consulting industry. This will be a hybrid position.
Primary Duties
- Participates in the development of project design concepts and criteria
- Provide design engineering and produce plans for multiple projects (both public and private).
- Organizes project information and record systems
- Assist with client interface, budgets, and schedules, and execute on time/on budget project delivery
- Makes recommendations on design alternatives and assists in proposal preparation
- May plan, organize, and supervise design activities for a project of significant size and complexity (e.G., a multi-structure facility requiring frequent interface and collaboration with various engineering disciplines)
- Coordinate with project design team members, clients, contractors, and permit agency representatives regularly
- Performs quantity takeoff and cost estimations
- Analyzes stormwater drainage and prepares technical reports
- Have the capability and experience to understand and review designs with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Hydraflow software
- Participates in budget and QC reviews
- Assist and collaborate with Ardurra construction administration staff during the construction phase of the project
- Has familiarity with Shop Drawings and RFIs
- Oversees client relationships, client development and client retention
Education And Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’ s Degree in, Civil Engineering from an accredited university or college
- 8+ years of related experience in the site design and permitting
- State of New Mexico PE license or ability to obtain via reciprocity
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Business development and client relationship skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
- Highly self-motivated self-starter, able to forecast and initiate project management tasks
- Work independently but collaborate as needed
