About the Opportunity:


Our client is a construction management firm supporting a large public-sector capital improvement program in Los Angeles. They are seeking a Project Accountant III to support financial operations, invoice processing, and cost tracking across active construction projects.

This role is responsible for reviewing and processing invoices, supporting financial reconciliation activities, and working closely with project teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with program procedures. The position plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity across multiple projects within a structured program environment. Experience supporting construction or project-based environments is highly valued.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process invoices in accordance with program procedures
  • Act as a subject matter expert for invoice processing within project teams
  • Coordinate with project and finance teams on cost commitments and expenditures
  • Prepare and review vendor files and supporting documentation for payments
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in invoice documentation
  • Assist with contractor payment analysis and financial tracking
  • Support reconciliation of financial accounts and escrow statements
  • Process and review project-related invoices across multiple workstreams
  • Communicate with vendors, contractors, and project teams regarding payment matters
  • Assist finance teams in identifying errors and improving processes
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Support internal reporting and financial tracking activities


Mandatory Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Associate’s degree (additional experience may substitute for education)
  • Experience working with business or financial systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Los Angeles

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Accounting, Business, or related field
  • Experience working in construction, infrastructure, or project-based environments
  • Experience with invoice processing, cost tracking, or project accounting
  • Familiarity with contractor payments and financial reconciliation processes
