Job Title: Production Manager
Location: Montesano, WA
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Production Manager to oversee and manage projects
from start to finish. The ideal candidate will ensure that all projects are completed on time,
within budget, and to client satisfaction. You will manage materials, manpower, subcontractors,
and inventory, and act as a point of contact between clients, the CEO, and the Office Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
o Ensure the smooth flow of all projects from approval to completion.
o Ensure accurate completion of jobs as contracted, including any changes or adjustments.
o Maintain clear communication between the customer, CEO, and Office Manager.
2. Resource Management:
o Efficiently manage resources to ensure job profitability, including:
Materials
Manpower (time management for job completion)
Vehicles
Subcontractors
o Minimize additional costs, such as extra trips or delays.
3. Cost Tracking and Reporting:
o Accurately report job costs using Jobber and paper receipts.
o Maintain an accurate inventory system to know available materials and orders
4. Project Setup:
o After project approval, create a list of materials needed.
o Determine which parts can be pulled from inventory and move them to a staging
area.
o Order necessary materials from suppliers and track shipping.
o Schedule project completion based on material arrival and coordinate with the
CFO on large purchases.
5. Coordination with Subcontractors and Staff:
o Identify and schedule subcontractors when needed, ensuring their availability.
o Work with the Office Manager to confirm job schedules and remind clients the
day before.
o Coordinate the workforce required to complete each job efficiently.
6. Workflow and Client Coordination:
o Review project workflow with clients and address any concerns (e.G., bathroom
remodel timing or access restrictions).
o Confirm details like placement of grab bars or soap dishes, and resolve any
project clarifications with the CEO before discussing with clients.
7. Change Orders:
o Manage client requests to change, add, or remove items from the contract.
o Work with the CEO to determine new pricing for any changes and obtain client
approval before proceeding with orders or work.
8. Special Job Needs:
o Manage special job requirements such as dumpsters, rental equipment, portable
toilets, and accommodations for workers.
9. Vehicle Maintenance:
o Oversee routine vehicle maintenance and keep records for each vehicle.
o Track tire wear and replacement needs and work with the CFO to anticipate future
maintenance and replacement costs.
o Plan necessary vehicle upgrades and collaborate with the CFO on costs and
timelines.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in project management or related field.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage resources effectively.
Ability to work well with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Work Environment:
Full-time position with potential for some travel based on project requirements.
