As part of growth, they seek a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their team and drive continuous improvement initiatives.



The Process Improvement Engineer will play a critical role in enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing processes, and ensuring the timely completion of projects. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining standard operating procedures, sharing best practices, and driving a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.





Responsibilities


  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Project Management: Manage continuous improvement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that they meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Audits and Compliance: Lead audit processes and address nonconformities to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with regulations.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analysis to make proactive decisions for process control and reaction, enabling data-informed improvements.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Implement and audit lean manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Training and Assessment: Conduct training sessions and assessments to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members in continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Recommend and develop new policies and procedures to improve product/service quality and efficiency.
  • Metrics and Measurement: Identify and establish new metrics to measure and track efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Safety and Collaboration: Collaborate with departments to improve plant safety and project timelines while fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.
  • Documentation: Document current and ideal practices, conduct post-completion audits, and maintain comprehensive records of continuous improvement activities.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, customers, vendors, and management to achieve common goals.
  • Adherence to Standards: Ensure regular attendance and punctuality, adhering to company standards of professionalism.



Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing
  • 7+ years of experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the use of data to drive decisions.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project completion.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Commitment to safety and teamwork.
