Location: Fairfax, VA (In-office) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Compensation: $120, 000 base salary + performance-based bonus
About Our Client: Our client is a growing and highly regarded boutique law firm in Northern Virginia, specializing in personal injury and criminal defense. With a strong track record of successful litigation and client advocacy, the firm has built a reputation for delivering results in high-volume, high-impact cases. They are now looking to add a seasoned Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to their team to take over an active caseload and help continue their tradition of courtroom excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Manage a full caseload of personal injury files from intake to resolution
Conduct client consultations and assess case merit
Investigate claims and gather medical records to support case strategy
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, demand letters, and other legal documentation
Take and defend depositions;represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel or insurance adjusters
Coordinate with medical providers and expert witnesses
Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to keep cases moving efficiently
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation using case management software
Provide timely and compassionate communication throughout the litigation process
What They’re Looking For:
Licensed to practice law in Virginia (required)
5+ years of experience in personal injury litigation, including trial experience
Trial experience strongly preferred
Proven ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload
Strong legal writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills
Practical understanding of civil litigation, discovery, and case evaluation
Compassionate, client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal communication skills
Nice to Have:
Licensed in Maryland and/or Washington, D.C.
Familiarity with legal software platforms like Clio, Filevine, or similar
Spanish or other second language proficiency is an asset
Experience working in a contingency-based or volume litigation environment
