They are seeking a trial-focused Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to take over an active caseload and drive cases through resolution, settlement, or verdict.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Manage a full caseload of personal injury matters from intake to resolution
Conduct client consultations and assess case merit
Investigate claims, gather medical records, and develop case strategy
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, demand letters, and other legal documentation
Take and defend depositions;represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings
Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel or insurance adjusters
Coordinate with medical providers and expert witnesses
Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure timely case progression
Maintain accurate documentation using case management software
Provide consistent, proactive client communication throughout the litigation process
Drive cases from treatment through demand, settlement, or trial verdict
Appear in court for hearings, motions, and pre-trial proceedings
What They’re Looking For:
Must-Haves
Licensed to practice law in Virginia (required)
3+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience, including litigation
Minimum 2 first-chair jury or bench trials taken to verdict
Proven ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload
Strong legal writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills
Practical understanding of civil litigation, discovery, and case evaluation
Client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal communication skills
Nice-to-Haves
5+ years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience
5+ first-chair jury trials with verifiable results
Licensed in Maryland, Washington, D.C., or another jurisdiction
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Experience with legal software (e.G., Clio, Filevine)
Background in contingency-based or volume litigation
