Our client, a well-established law firm in Western CT area, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of personal injury litigation experience, with additional experience strongly preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working closely with attorneys and taking ownership of case-related responsibilities.
The Position:
The Paralegal will provide direct support, assisting with case management, litigation preparation, client communication, legal documentation, and daily case activity.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and draft legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and other case-related materials.
Assist attorneys with personal injury litigation, including case management, discovery, and trial preparation.
Coordinate service and delivery of subpoenas and other legal documents.
Manage daily case activity and ensure important deadlines and follow-ups are completed.
Conduct legal and factual research to support case preparation and proceedings.
Maintain accurate, organized case files and documentation.
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, medical providers, insurance companies, and other parties as needed.
Assist attorneys with case preparation and general litigation support.
Utilize legal case management software to maintain and update case information.
About You:
2+ years of paralegal experience required
Personal injury litigation experience required
Additional personal injury/litigation experience strongly preferred
Law firm experience preferred
Strong understanding of legal procedures and document preparation
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook
Experience with Microsoft Teams
Experience with legal case management software
Litify experience is a plus;training can be provided
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Paralegal Certificate, Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies, or related education preferred
