Position Summary: The Production Line Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing nightly production activities to ensure production goals are met efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. This hands-on role supports frontline staff, manages workflow, and assists with resolving routine issues on the line.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee production line operations to meet daily targets with minimal waste.
Maintain consistent product quality in accordance with company and customer specifications.
Monitor equipment and notify maintenance of mechanical concerns.
Ensure accurate load speeds and proper materials are used per order.
Verify packaging and labeling accuracy.
Assign and rotate personnel to maintain efficiency and team engagement.
Complete and submit all required documentation and shift reports accurately.
Assist with breaks and fill in on the line as needed.
Communicate concerns, issues, or deviations to supervisors promptly.
Support and follow safety protocols, operating procedures (SOPs), and good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment & Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be comfortable standing, walking, and working on feet for 8–12 hours per shift.
Work may involve repetitive motions, bending, lifting, reaching, and exposure to warm, humid, or cold environments.
Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed, including gloves, hairnets, safety goggles, and boots.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
Experience in a lead or supervisory role is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Basic understanding of safety protocols and ability to follow instructions.
Schedule:
Full-time, night shift (typically 2: 30 PM –12: 00 AM);overtime or weekend availability may be required.
