Onboarding Retirement Planner Location: Ames, IA Compensation: Competitive Based on Experience
An established retirement planning firm is expanding into the Ames market and is looking for an Onboarding Retirement Planner to help launch its new location. This is a business development-focused role where you'll guide prospective clients through the retirement planning process and convert them into long-term clients. Once clients are onboarded, they transition to a Relationship Advisor, allowing you to focus on new client acquisition and community growth.
What You'll Do:
Meet with prospective clients to understand their financial goals
Develop customized retirement and financial planning strategies
Build trust and guide clients through the onboarding process
Present investment and retirement planning recommendations
Conduct educational workshops and represent the firm at community events
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with industry regulations
What We're Looking For:
3+ years of experience in financial advising, wealth management, retirement planning, or a related field preferred
CFP or other industry designations are welcomed but not required
Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
Experience with financial planning software and CRM systems
Existing relationships in the Ames market are highly preferred
Military background is a plus
