Position Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description:

The role involves conducting comprehensive engineering studies to drive continuous enhancement across products, processes, and organizational efficacy. Upholding product integrity is paramount, accomplished through the formulation and refinement of product specifications, test parameters, quality benchmarks, and design parameters. Proficiency in computer operations, encompassing CAD operations, spreadsheet manipulation, and word processing, is essential. A solid grasp of relevant product materials and production processes is also required.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive engineering support to various departments including Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Marketing, and Senior Management. Collaborate on tooling processes, Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFM/A) initiatives, and cost reduction strategies.
2. Strategize, design, develop, assess, and endorse test equipment, procedures, and specifications to uphold or enhance product quality standards.
3. Author and compile documentation pertaining to products and procedures.
4. Coordinate problem-solving endeavors concerning product requisites, conventional and specialized material usage, process capabilities, and documentation interpretation.
5. Drive participation in continuous quality improvement initiatives, offering leadership and technical guidance to teams.
6. Actively engage in Production Process Teams, overseeing comprehensive inspections and reviews of trucks before departmental departure.
7. Liaise with other departments, junior technical staff, and suppliers to ensure seamless coordination of design projects and achievement of project objectives.
8. Engage in research and development activities aimed at introducing new products or enhancing existing ones.
Competencies in Computer Operations:
- CAD –Proficiency in modeling and two-dimensional drawing, with preference for ProE/CreO experience and familiarity with Finite Element Analysis.
- Microsoft Office Suite –Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
- Familiarity with Engineering Network File Structure.
- Experience in designing validation tests and compiling comprehensive reports.
- Proficiency in Manufacturing Resource Planning (Visual).
Education, Reasoning Ability, and/or Experience:
A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, with preferred experience ranging from one to four years in industrial design or engineering.
