Job Description
Mechanical Design Engineer
Join a rapidly growing division of a world leading high performance manufacturer.
Key Responsibilities
- New product design including high speed fabric, sectional, and rolling steel doors
- Develop and implement product design enhancements resulting in increased quality, manufacturability, and cost reductions
- Administrator of CREO/Windchill environments
- Work with the engineering group to update existing CREO models as needed
- Design, test, and implement product enhancements based on field feedback
- Act on Engineering Change Requests as needed
- Work with production floor personnel as needed
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Knowledge of architectural testing and international building codes a plus
- Analytical problem solver
- Able to work with minimal supervision and accomplish goals in a timely manner
- Experience with Pro-Engineer/CREO 3D modeling software using parametric programming
- Experience constructing and maintaining product bills of material
- Experience with Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
- Lean methodology experience
- 1-3 years of mechanical design experience in product development and manufacturing
- Effective communicator
- Ability to work in a group environment
Education
- BS in Mechanical Engineering with 1-3 years of mechanical design experience
Department and Supervisor
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be part of the Engineering Department and will report to the Engineering Manager

Expected travel will be < 5%
