A leading innovator in motion simulation and aerospace component manufacturing is inviting applications for a Beginner Mechanical Assembler role. We have a headcount of around 250 across several locations in the United States and internationally.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Precision assembly and testing of multi-part mechanical systems Assessing axes alignment concerning one another: checking the orthogonality and angular displacement measurements using autocollimators, mirror assemblies, electronic indicators, or alignment telescopes Adjusting and sizing parts employing lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and similar tools Prepping parts for paint application and clean-up Assisting with the shipment of equipment to clientele On-site service operations on equipment, nationally and globally Aid in the maintenance and calibration of the metrology lab in conjunction with Quality Control Keeping workspace, machines, and equipment organized Fulfilling budget and schedule demands Position Demands:
Predominantly shop environment-based work Job activities entail a mix of walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, and standing Regular heavy lifting (up to 75 pounds) and movement of weighty parts (weighing several tons) Your Skills and Qualifications:
High school completion or equivalent Technical education or machinery apprenticeship is advantageous Preferred one-year experience in a mechanical role Must possess a valid driver’ s license Required to undergo fork truck training and secure certification Travel flexibility: 10%-15% domestic; occasional overseas travel may be required This position is a unique chance to be part of an expanding company with an ambitious growth plan.
