Maintenance Team Lead, 3rd Shift – Hilbert, WI
Classification: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Facilities Manager
Direct Reports: 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician
Are you ready to take the lead in a dynamic maintenance team? We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Team Lead in Hilbert, WI. As a key player in our organization, you'll be responsible for ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met with minimal downtime through preventative and multi-craft maintenance. Essential Functions:
In this role, you will:
- Assure compliance with all safety practices, policies, and procedures
- Perform a wide range of skilled tasks, including installation and maintenance of production equipment
- Provide emergency repairs and conduct preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs utilizing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting skills
- Create nightly schedules for Maintenance Technicians, oversee training, and conduct performance reviews
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while meeting productivity goals
Qualifications:
- To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 7-10 years of maintenance experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing
- Electrical experience and familiarity with plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical schematics
- Knowledge of HVAC systems (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills and adherence to safety practices
- Basic math skills and effective communication abilities
- Familiarity with GMP's and OSHA standards
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and handle multiple projects
- Basic computer skills
Work Schedule:
- Train on 1st shift for the first 6 months (6am-4pm, Monday-Friday)
- Once trained, transition to 3rd shift (8: 30pm-6: 30am, Sunday-Thursday)
Physical Demands:
The role requires:
- Standing for long periods of time (11-hour days)
- Ability to lift up to 100lbs on occasion and perform manual tasks
- Flexibility in body positioning, including bending, walking, and pivoting
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, you'll be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and noise.
