#### **Position Overview:**

The firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Litigation Attorney to handle pre-litigation and litigation matters, primarily in real estate, title, mortgages, foreclosure, and creditor’s rights. While remote work is available, the role is predominantly based out of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, with flexibility for remote work. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess strong advocacy skills, and exhibit logical and critical thinking.

#### **Key Responsibilities:**

- **Case Management:** Oversee litigation cases from inception through to completion, including pre-litigation matters and title clearing.
- **Strategic Planning:** Develop and seek approval for budgets and legal strategies. Conduct legal research and prepare analyses on risks, exposures, and strategies.
- **Legal Drafting & Argumentation:** Draft and argue pleadings and motions. Handle all aspects of discovery.
- **Client Interaction:** Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with supervising partners and clients. Communicate directly with clients and manage their expectations.
- **Court & Mediation:** Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences, both remotely and in person.
- **Bankruptcy Support:** Assist with bankruptcy motions, hearings, and adversary proceedings as needed.
- **Special Projects:** Manage special projects and additional duties as required.

#### **Job Requirements:**

- **Education:** Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- **Licensing:** Admission to practice law in Texas, with maintenance of all necessary licensing and MCLE requirements. Additional licenses in the firm’s other states are a plus.
- **Experience:** Five years of litigation experience preferred;however, entry-level candidates with a strong interest in real estate or mortgage law will be considered.
- **Knowledge:** Familiarity with foreclosure, real estate, secured transactions, and creditor’s rights preferred but not required.
- **Skills:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills;proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet tools.
- **Billing:** Must meet the firm’s hourly billing requirement of 1920 hours annually.
- **Location:** Candidate must reside in Texas or another firm’s footprint state and be available for in-person hearings in Texas as needed.
