Job Description My client, a growing boutique law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney with expertise in bankruptcy, tax, and business debt restructuring. This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with firm leadership and make a meaningful impact for business owners and farmers facing financial distress.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in Chapter 11 and Chapter 12 bankruptcy cases
Advise on debt restructuring, asset protection, and tax strategy
Appear in court, handle mediations, depositions, and negotiations
Collaborate with internal staff to develop and implement legal strategies
Conduct case evaluations and client consultations
Maintain communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
Qualifications
J.D. From an accredited law school
Licensed in Iowa or willing to obtain licensure promptly (IL license also considered)
Minimum 5 years of experience in bankruptcy law and debt restructuring
Strong understanding of tax law and commercial litigation
Experience with agricultural clients a plus
Excellent communication and time-management skills

Salary up to $175, 000/year based on experience
