Job Description

Our client in the Lexington, KY area is seeking a talented Landscape Designer with a degree in Landscape Architecture and a passion for creating exceptional outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience specifically in commercial landscape design, coupled with expertise in design and construction document production.

  • Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand their goals and requirements for commercial landscape projects.
  • Apply your creative flair and technical knowledge to develop innovative and aesthetically pleasing landscape designs that align with client expectations.
  • Produce detailed construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Coordinate with project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends, materials, and technologies in landscape design to integrate cutting-edge solutions into your work.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and budgets.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, presenting design concepts and addressing feedback to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Provide on-site support during construction to ensure the accurate implementation of design intent.

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited US institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in commercial landscape design.
  • Proven expertise in design and construction document production for commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of plant materials, horticulture, and landscape construction techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and codes related to commercial landscape projects.
