Job Description

Our client in the Lexington, KY area seeking a highly skilled and licensed Landscape Architect with a degree in Landscape Architecture and a valid license in Kentucky. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience, creativity, and technical expertise to the team.

  • Utilize your expertise to design and manage landscape projects, focusing on commercial developments.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver innovative and sustainable design solutions.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from concept development through construction and completion.
  • Apply your knowledge of horticulture, environmental science, and design principles to create aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spaces.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and zoning codes, incorporating sustainability practices into project designs.
  • Develop and present project proposals, including detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates, to clients and internal teams.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, managing resources effectively to meet project timelines and budgets.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, materials, and technologies to integrate the latest innovations into project designs.
  • Foster strong client relationships through effective communication and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited US institution.
  • A valid Landscape Architect License in the State of Kentucky.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape architecture, with a focus on commercial projects.
  • Proven design and project management experience, showcasing a portfolio of successful projects.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of environmental impact, sustainability practices, and local regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey ideas and concepts to clients and project teams.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
