Our client is seeking an experienced Associate or Counsel for their Labor & Employment Group. This position is based in Chicago. Associate/Counsel should have 3 or more years of experience. The candidate must be admitted to the bar in Illinois or preparing to obtain such admission in 2024 through reciprocity with another state, have excellent academic credentials, and have spent much of their career to date in employment law.
The Associate or Counsel will have meaningful responsibility for employment-related counseling, transactional drafting, and litigation matters (single plaintiff and collective/class actions), including issues involving hiring and separation, wage and hour, EEO, non-compete and trade secrets, employment policies, agreements and handbook reviews, due diligence for corporate transactions, employee accommodation and leave issues, investigations, and other employment law issues.
The candidate should have strong research and writing and public speaking skills, and experience and responsibility in a broad base of employment issues and particularly with employment litigation. This position is open to full-time or a reduced hours arrangement and can be structured as an Associate or Counsel based on experience level.
