Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Mazak Integrex Operator for the night shift, with lots of overtime available. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for quality parts produced on various machines, including Machinist Mazak Integrex.
  • Set up, operate, and inspect quality parts for conformance to requirements, holding close tolerances and maximum efficiencies.
  • Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
  • Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on material or workpieces as a guide for machining.
  • Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make adjustments as required to ensure quality production. Report all malfunctions to the immediate supervisor.
  • Assist in solving complex plant operating problems and/or cost reduction projects.
  • Operate a forklift and lifting devices for moving parts.
  • Communicate with supervisors, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean, and orderly, and perform basic preventative maintenance functions.
  • Enforce all Company Health, Safety, and Environmental rules.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education & Experience Qualifications:
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience operating Mazak Integrex or equivalent in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Integrex Control Experience.
  • Ability to create your setup.
  • Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an advanced understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensions.
  • Must possess basic math skills.

Technical Competencies:
  • Knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments, including but not limited to calipers, ID & OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales.
  • Knowledge of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and inserts used on various machines.
