Evaluating and redesigning parts for moldability (e.G., optimizing wall thickness, draft angles via SolidWorks simulations), creating process flow diagrams, conducting time-motion studies, and implementing lean manufacturing principles to achieve scalability.
Collaborate with R&D and operations to troubleshoot production issues, select and integrate new equipment (e.G., robotic trim cells, vertical mills), perform cost analyses, and ensure quality standards for utility applications.
Training staff on scaled processes and monitoring KPIs for efficiency and quality. SolidWorks proficiency in tooling and process design is required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
4–7+ years of experience in production scaling and injection molding processes.
Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks for tooling design and process simulation.
Expertise in transitioning designs from one-off to high-volume production (10, 000+ units).
