Industrial Coatings Sales Manager

Job Description


A leader in the manufacturing and distribution of polyurea coatings is seeking an experienced Industrial Coatings Sales Manager in the Pacific Northwest Region to call/visit prospects and clients to sell their products. This position is remote and will require 40-50% travel within this region which may include parts of Canada.

Responsibilities
  • Contact qualified leads and articulate brand offerings
  • Implement phone, email, and direct on-site sales activities at potential manufacturing/industrial locations (boots-on-ground approach)
  • Implement sales programs for assigned customers
  • Develop equipment and material quotes
  • Create and implement a monthly sales action plan to engage and develop manufacturers/industrial leads
  • Maintain opportunity pipeline in CRM system with sufficient number of accounts/revenue to deliver sales quota
  • Establish personal contact and rapport with potential manufacturers/industrial accounts to increase closing odds
  • Develop methods/tactics to increase the number of quality leads
  • Utilize a variety of sales techniques to create value for potential manufacturing/industrial customers while qualifying candidates to find the best fit for our products
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing-Industrial Sales Director to develop and implement sales strategies to improve closing ratios
  • Coordinate with the Manufacturing-Industrial Sales Director and product development/technical services staff to validate application requirements to minimize in-field failures and potential false starts
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing-Industrial Sales Director to plan, develop, and implement ideas for lead generation and sales process improvements
  • Coordinate post-sale activities with our departments to include, technical services, training, operations, and finance
  • Schedule validation calls with team players to include product development/technical services staff
  • Develop product understanding (e.G. Product attributes, general application guidelines, general equipment operating parameters, etc.)
  • Develop Industry awareness in respective segmentation to deliver desired results

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Bachelors degree within a relevant field required, equivalent experience considered.
  • At least 3 years of relevant sales experience in heavy industrial coatings
  • Experience with Smartsheet and/or Salesforce
  • Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Listens and communicates well
  • Informs management of issues
  • Must be an effective problem solver
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented

Salary

$120k-$130k plus monthly bonus
