Lead Maintenance Mechanic Reports to: Head of Operations Schedule: Mon-Fri, AM shift
Our client is an artisanal creamery in Petaluma providing delicious yogurts and cheeses across the country. We are seeking a Lead Maintenance Mechanic with experience supporting heavy machinery and ensuring maintenance schedules are hit.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and perform critical maintenance functions that ensure the safe, efficient, reliable operation of dairy processing systems and facility equipment
Contribute to the installation and improvement of production machinery
Troubleshoot equipment, including electrical diagnostics, and coordinate with equipment manufacturers and service providers
Oversee 1 employee, providing direction and learning opportunities
Partner with the Operations Team to deliver updates on equipment improvements and maintenance
Requirements:
Experience maintaining heavy equipment, ideally in a food or dairy manufacturing environment
Ability to lead by example while collaborating across departments
Proficiency in troubleshooting automated systems
Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams
